On 2nd Sept 2020 MOSAC hosted over 300 community members at our first ever Celebration Event, held at our premises at 11 Hamersley St. The event was included in the Shinju Matsuri Festival program and ran from the afternoon into the early evening.  It featured a lively mix of local music and food, as well as a diverse range of speeches and presentations. Alana Clohessy MLC spoke to the major Lotterywest grant for our Lifecycle program, while retiring Kimberley MLA Josie Farrer and David Pigram an original founder both honoured the 10th anniversary of the ALIVE and Kicking Goals! (AKG) program.

CEO Peter Mitchell and Cr Nik Wevers spoke to the twentieth anniversary of the organisation and paid respect to the vision of the women and men who founded the Mens Outreach Service. MC Mark Bin Bakar kept the crowd amused, while the AKG and LifeCycle staff kept the kids busy with a basketball clinic and bike repairs. Feedback from visitors and staff was very positive, with some proposing that a similar event be held annually.
