In February, our Change Em Way’s Communities Team delivered Workshop 11.
The 5-day workshop included a group of 10 men from diverse backgrounds and ages. Addressing vital topics ranging from exploring the impact of colonisation to understanding the different forms of violence, the workshop navigated through the cycle of violence, fostering discussions on healthy relationships and respectful communication.
The final day focusses on an empowering goal-setting session. The group revisits what they have learned and make a commitment to themselves and their family to ‘Change Em Ways’. Creating goals and writing them down increases motivation and accountability, and encourages a focus on the new learned behaviours, bringing the participants back on track towards positive change.
