This vision recognises the important role men play in creating safe, secure and healthy families and communities. Strong men means men who have their social and cultural needs, their emotional needs and their health needs adequately managed and supported.

Our Objectives

The Objectives of the Corporation are to:

  1. provide relationship support to all men in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, to help improve their family relationship skills and to reduce the incidence of family violence and abuse;
  2. provide a men’s counselling service for individuals in the Kimberley region;
  3. provide therapeutic and educative groups for men to address the issues of family violence;
  4. ensure that values and beliefs are addressed through training, education and counselling;
  5. promote, develop and maintain a men’s support group;
  6. conduct a community education campaign regarding general men’s issues and family violence issues;
  7. help build trust and friendship between its Members and the general community;
  8. participate with other groups and organisations in projects of mutual benefit;
  9. develop and provide services for men, their families and communities in the Kimberley region;
  10. provide direct relief from poverty, suffering, helplessness and distress through the provision of the many services supplied by the Corporation;
  11. implement strategic and operational plans that advance the Objectives of the Corporation;
  12. support and develop programs and projects for the above services;
  13. develop social enterprises and similar income generative operations that advance the Objectives of the Corporation;
  14. receive and spend funds from the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and/or the State Government of Western Australia or from any other sources; and
  15. operate and maintain a gift fund to be known as ‘The Men’s Outreach Service Aboriginal Corporation Gift Fund’ in accordance with the requirements of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth).
